Korea’s Largest Cultural Content Marketplace Opens in Gwangju in September

Cultural Entertainment Fair

From Sept. 25 to 28, the 2014 Gwangju Asia Content & Entertainment (ACE) Fair will open at Kimdaejung Convention Center in Gwangju, South Korea. Around 400 companies related to the character, animation, edutainment, broadcasting, video, and game industries are expected to participate in this fair. It is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and Gwangju Metropolitan City, and co-managed by Kimdaejung Convention Center, KOTRA, and the Korea Creative Content Agency.

Being the largest cultural content marketplace in Korea, it is the only internationally-acclaimed fair by the Union des Foires Internationales (UFI) and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE). For three consecutive years, it has been selected as a promising fair by the MOTIE, being recognized at home and abroad as Asia’s best cultural content expo.

This year’s fair is expected to become an optimal venue for business networking, because the participating companies are planning to come in groups, either formed by countries or associations, making their network power stronger. To obtain a booth, register online at the Gwangju ACE Fair webpage (www.acefair.or.kr) by July 31. Visitors should register by Sept. 12 to get a free pass.

The fair consists of academic lectures by famous speakers from around the world and fun events like board game contests, speed stacks, stackmeat contests, e-sports, and caricatures, to attract more visitors to the fair.
