Kumho Tire announced on Jan. 14 that it will participate in the Tokyo Auto Salon 2016, which will take place at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo, Japan, from Jan. 15 to 17.
The Tokyo Auto Salon is one of the top motor shows globally for modified and tuned cars, along with the U.S. SEMA Show and Europe's Essen Motor Show in Germany. It is also Asia's largest automotive festival.
Considering the fact that it is a tuning show generally visited by those who use ultra-high performance tires, Kumho Tire, which is partaking in the show for the eighth consecutive year since 2009, set its Ecsta tires designed with Formula technology as the concept of the show. Through diverse lineups, including the Ecsta PS91 and Ecsta V720, the company is planning to emphasize its high performance technology and brand image.
Kumho Tire will also showcase the Sense SE11, a new product to be released in the Japanese market. The Sense SE11 is an environmentally-friendly and fuel-efficient product with rolling resistance and wet grip functions and handling and braking efficiency.
The company will offer docent tours, which allow visitors to understand and experience its products by zone, and display actual racing cars of Ecsta Racing Team, one of the nation’s motor sport teams.
