The Korea Tourism Organization has updated its mobile-based Korea tourism promotion application in foreign languages. The app is called “K-Books.”

K-Books is a free app that provides Korea tourism promotional materials in foreign languages in the form of e-books on tablet PCs and smartphones, using the latest Information & Communication Technology (ICT).

In addition to a guidebook, tourist map and other tourism materials in foreign languages with themes of food, shopping, accommodations, culture and MICE produced by Korea Tourism Organization, the app includes other excellent tourism promotional materials in foreign languages produced by local governments, such as Seoul, Busan, Jeju and Gangwon, providing a total of 166 e-books in 13 languages.

The app also offers some functionality, including tourist attraction location search based on GPS, real-time exchange rates and weather conditions, a recorder, note taking functionality, camera, connections to social media services and e-mails as well as a Web browser. Moreover, users can view Korea tourism promotional videos and pictures.

With the latest renewal, Korea Tourism Organization allows users to use the app with 3 to 4 times faster download speeds even in areas with slow internet connections, improving usability though the usage guide pop-up and app book viewer functions.

You can access “K-Books” via ios appstore and android google playstore.
