Budget Paradise
Jin Air Co., the budget carrier of Korean Airlines, said on July 8 that it will open an Incheon-Hawaii route later this year.
Jin Air said that Incheon-Honolulu service will start from Dec. 19 by deploying its B777-200ER aircrafts equipped with over 350 seats five times a week.
It will be the first time that a local budget carrier flies on such a long route.
Jin Air added a B777-200ER, which enables flights to the U.S. and Europe, to its fleet last Dec., which is the first of its kind among its rivals. It plans to deploy two more by the end of this year.
Jin Air expects the new long route to help it lead the industry by providing “differentiated” services to its customers.
