An image of the Galaxy Folder, a folding smartphone that Samsung Electronics is expected to release, was leaked.
An article titled, "The leakage of the Samsung Galaxy Folder" with an image of the phone was posted on a Korean online community called Ruliweb on June 30.
An image of the Galaxy Folder and the content of a booklet with the technical specifications of the new model are shown in the picture. It says that the model is a folder-type smartphone with a LTE and a 3G version. It measures 122 x 60.2 x 15.3mm, and weighs 155g.
The new model apparently features a 3.8-inch WVGA screen, a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, a 8 megapixel camera at the back (a 2 megapixel camera on the front), a 1,800mAh removable battery, 1.5 GB of RAM, 8GB storage space, Android 5.1 Lollipop, and DMB function.
This product, which seems to be an entry-level model due to its low specs, was recently spotted in the import and export list of Zauba, an India-based aviation logistics service provider. The LTE model is expected be launched through three local mobile carriers, and the 3G version is likely to be only available through SK Telecom.
