Fuel Efficiency
Chrysler and BMW have raised objections to the penalty that the Korean government imposed for alleged fuel efficiency exaggerations. However, Audi and Volkswagen accepted the penalty.
Earlier this year, the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy imposed a penalty for some of their cars showing a difference of over 5 percent between the stated and actual gas mileages.
BMW and Chrysler are poised to distinguish between right and wrong with the Korean government. “They would be well advised to follow the administrative procedure first,” said an industry insider.
