According to Bloomberg, Apple accounted for 20.4 percent of the global smartphone market in the fourth quarter of 2014 by selling 74.8 million handsets, whereas Samsung Electronics took up 19.9 percent of the market.
They were followed by Lenovo (6.6 percent), Huawei (5.7 percent), and Xiaomi (5.1 percent). In that quarter, the global smart phone sell-through showed a 29.9 percent increase from a year ago.
