LG U+ solidified its strategic partnership with the Z-Wave Alliance at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2015 in Las Vegas.
LG U+ Vice Chairman Lee Sang-chul met with Z-Wave Alliance Chairman Mark Walters and CEO Thihh Q. Tran of Sigma Designs, a member of the alliance, on Jan. 7 (local time) to share their home IoT business strategies and foster mutual cooperation.
“We will release a variety of new services by making the most of our strengths in the field of home networking, like Giga Infrastructure, so as to lead the growth of the global IoT market,” said the vice chairman.
The Z-Wave Alliance is an association of over 200 global companies adopting the Z-Wave wireless communications solution for home Internet of Things (IoT).
LG U+, which has been selected as a board member of the consortium for the first time in Asia and as a telecoms operator, is expected to take a leading role in defining the future direction of the home IoT industry and establishing industrial standards.
